Raised in the close-knit community of Hamlin, Texas, Dan learned early on the value of hard work and service from parents who modeled a strong work ethic and dedication to their family and community. A proud graduate of Hamlin High School in 1987, Dan went on to earn a business degree from Tarleton State University in 1991, setting the stage for a lifelong commitment to both professional excellence and public service.
Dan spent 22 years in community banking, working closely with individuals, families, and local businesses to support financial growth across the region. He later served for 7 years as a Farm Credit Relationship Manager, where he worked alongside farmers and ranchers to help them secure the resources they needed to succeed. In addition to his professional experience, Dan has been a landowner for many years, giving him a deep, personal understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing rural property owners and agricultural producers.
For the past 6 years, Dan has built a thriving career as a successful real estate agent, combining his financial background, agricultural insight, and deep roots in the region to help clients navigate land, residential, and commercial property transactions with confidence.
Service has always been a guiding principle in Dan’s life. He has contributed to the Hamlin community in many meaningful ways – most notably as a deacon of his church, a trustee of Hamlin Independent School District, and a leader of the Hamlin Boys Club for over 26 years.
Dan has been married to his high school sweetheart, Kristi, for over 35 years. Together, they have raised three children, Dylan, Madi, and Ethan, all of whom are proud graduates of Texas A&M University, class of 2016, 2018, and 2025, respectively.
Through decades of experience in finance, agriculture, real estate, and land ownership—and a lifelong commitment to faith, family, and service—Dan continues to invest in the people and place that shaped him.
