Roy Wilson grew up surrounded by farming, ranching, and the oil industry in Haskell County. A 1973 graduate of Rule High School, he joined the United States Army that same year. During his service, he was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, where he worked in law enforcement and wildlife and fisheries. Roy also completed two overseas tours, serving 13 months each in Germany and Korea.
After being honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1980, Roy returned to Haskell County and began working with his father as a contract oilfield pumper. In 1985, he transitioned into the hunting, outfitting, and ranch management business, a career that would span nearly four decades.
Alongside his wife, Becky, Roy built and operated Krooked River Ranch Outfitters for more than 30 years, providing premier hunting and fishing experiences across Haskell, Shackelford, and Throckmorton counties and hosting guests from around the world. He also managed and owned outfitting operations across West Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Yucatán, Mexico.
Roy has extensive experience in wildlife management and conservation, working with programs such as EQUIP, WHIP, CRP, and WRP, along with other federal cost-share initiatives. His deep understanding of ranch management and land stewardship allows him to provide valuable insight to his clients.
Now in real estate, Roy continues his lifelong passion for the land by helping clients buy and sell farm, ranch, and recreational properties. His goal is to guide clients with honesty, expertise, and a strong commitment to service.
When he is not working, Roy enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife, Becky, to watch their grandchildren compete in athletic and agricultural events. The couple are proud members of Bethel Assembly in Anson.
