Raised in Stamford, Texas, Kevin McCright has lifelong roots in agriculture and a deep appreciation for the land and people of the Big Country. After graduating from Stamford High School, he attended Clarendon College and Tarleton State University, where he competed on the livestock judging team. His education and agricultural background helped develop his strong understanding of land, livestock, and rural property management.
After college, Kevin returned home and worked for seven years at the Farmers Cooperative of Stamford in chemical sales and assistant management. In 2007, he and his father opened Lone Star Feed, serving local producers and ranchers with quality products and trusted service. His experience in the feed and ag industry built a strong foundation for his future in real estate.
Kevin joined Ekdahl Real Estate in 2014 and quickly found his passion for the Farm and Ranch side of the business. His agricultural expertise and knowledge of West Texas land allow him to guide clients with honesty, practicality, and care. Service has always been his top priority, and he takes pride in helping clients make informed decisions about their land and investments.
In addition to real estate, Kevin is a dedicated community member and volunteer. He is actively involved in the Stamford High School Athletic Booster Club and FFA Chapter, where he supports his two sons, Kree and Kolton, in their extracurricular activities. He has also served for many years as a volunteer and chairman for the Texas Cowboy Reunion Rodeo, helping continue one of Stamford’s most cherished traditions.
Kevin’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident through his ownership of a local car wash and a machinery rental business, both of which contribute to the local economy and support area producers. When he is not working or volunteering, Kevin enjoys spending time with family, attending local sporting events, and taking part in the agricultural lifestyle that has always been close to his heart.
